Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy techniques and support their development. Your primary focus will be on providing patient care, collecting data, and maintaining accurate medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment plans.
- Assist in conducting patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities related to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and techniques, particularly applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to behavioral health interventions.
- Understanding of medical terminology, patient care processes, and medical documentation requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.20 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
