We are committed to helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.About the roleWe are actively recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Counselor (LCPC, LPC, LCSW-C, or equivalent) to join our therapy team in California, MD. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for professionals who excel at working with children, adults, and families, communicate effectively, and are passionate about supporting clients in achieving emotional well-being, resilience, and improved quality of life.The role involves providing individual, family, and group counseling; conducting assessments; developing individualized treatment plans; and collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support progress both in the clinic and in everyday life.This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, participate in ongoing professional development, and make a lasting difference in the lives of clients and their families across St. Mary's.What you'll do
  • Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and psychosocial histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children and adults with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
  • Provide evidence-based counseling and psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, and adjustment difficulties.
  • Educate and support families/caregivers with strategies to reinforce progress outside of sessions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in treatment planning, case reviews, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with clinical, ethical, and legal standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
  • Current Maryland license as LCPC, LPC, LCSW-C, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or a related field.
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to change, and manage priorities.
  • Passion for supporting children, adults, and families in achieving mental health and personal growth.
