A school district in Abingdon, MD, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade at an elementary school. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 35-40 hours per week and is set for the new school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students in grades K-12
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
  • Provide counseling and support services to address student academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland School Psychologist License
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
  • Strong assessment, communication, and consultation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
