Seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a K-12 public school setting in Willimantic, CT. This is a contract position for the full school year, providing comprehensive psychological services to support students academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Promote a positive school environment through consultation and training for staff on mental health and behavioral strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed or certified School Psychologist with credentials valid in Connecticut.
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and report-writing skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities within school teams.
