An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide essential support within an elementary school setting. This contract position, lasting for the entire school year, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and emotional development in Stamford, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify students strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support the development of positive school climates through consultation and trainings
- Assist in monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies accordingly
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in elementary school environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, educational laws, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage caseload and meet deadlines effectively
