Specifics
- Clinical Psychologist/LCSW positions
- Correctional facility
- 18-week renewable assignments
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
- No on-call
- Must attend HERO training
Description of Work
- Will conduct MH assessments, therapy sessions, and screenings for an adult population of patients
- Provide ongoing educational/therapeutic groups for such areas as anger control, assertiveness, and problem-solving.
- Provide an initial assessment to include the problem, any history of substance abuse, diagnosis, and development of a treatment plan
- Documentation of all items inpatient medical records
- Responsible for on-site, direct patient care
- Conduct staff training on various relevant mental health topics regarding the patient population, management of the developmentally disabled, management of suicide precautions, and other appropriate topics
Requirements
- Clinical Psychologist: Minimum of a Master’s Degree level of education is required (M.S. or M.A.)
- Active/Clear Psychologist license issued by the North Carolina Psychology Board
American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) board certification is preferred
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker: Minimum of 2 years experience in social work, counseling, or other related fields
- Active/Clear Clinical Social Worker or Professional Counselor license valid in North Carolina
- Active/Clear DEA
- Active/Clear BLS/ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Successful completion of screening/application requirements (e.g., competency testing, drug screening, background check)
