Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic DUI Counselor to join our team. The counselor will provide assessments, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and ongoing support for clients with substance use challenges. This role requires strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for helping individuals build healthier lives.
Responsibilities for Behavioral Therapist:
- Conduct intake assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Develop and monitor personalized recovery plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes
- Coordinate with physicians, mental health professionals, and community resources
- Educate clients and families on substance abuse, relapse prevention, and coping strategies
- Support crisis intervention when needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations
Qualifications and Requirements for Behavioral Therapist:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- State certification/licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, LADC, or equivalent)
- Experience working with individuals in recovery or related mental health settings
- Strong interpersonal and motivational interviewing skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
