Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. This role requires a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and evidence-based practices.
• Provide psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions tailored to specific populations, including children and families.
• Offer crisis intervention services and manage crisis situations effectively.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed to enhance service delivery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training in areas such as telehealth practices, addiction counseling, and behavioral therapy.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in mental health counseling with a focus on child & family counseling, crisis management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches including PTSD care, grief counseling, group therapy, and behavioral management techniques.
• Previous experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment protocols.
• Experience working with special populations such as geriatrics or individuals with autism is a plus.
