At Greater Comfort DME, ( Durable Medical Equipment .) We are urgently hiring an Intake Coordinator at our Tyson corner location.

Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTAKE MANAGER

******(having a medical office background is a bonus)

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

General:

Works with referral sources, physician's offices and patients to build an order. Works with company billing personnel to provide documents needed for reimbursement. Manage Intake process and staff.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for all incoming referrals and orders for delivery and pick up, including but not limited to:

· Patient demographics

· Emergency contact information

· Insurance information and verification

· Physician information

· Diagnosis

· Billing information

· Managing Intake Staff

Completes verification of insurance for DME coverage and prior authorization information, including but not limited to:

· Deductible

· Effective date

· Claims address

· Managing Intake process

· Managing timely Intake process for staff

Completes any special instructions for billing to the patient's insurance prior to the delivery.

Work with VP of Operations and Respiratory personnel to meet the patient’s needs for unusual equipment or supplies.

Inform patient or patient’s caregiver of benefits (what the policy reimburses). Arrange private pay billing if required.

Works with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative.

Work with family or referral source and warehouse personnel on delivery and/or pick up arrangements.

Responsible for working "Open Orders Report."

Responsible for confirming completed work orders in a timely manner.

Manage and train all Intake Staff.

Responsible for forwarding completed paperwork to the HME office manager to log equipment set-up and pick up for tracking purposes.

Promotes teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow office workers, as needed.

Takes “on call” time on a predetermined, rotating basis.

Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customers.

Markets the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned by the his/her’s manager.

Experience/Knowledge:

Good organizational skills. Willing to function as a cooperative team member. Responsible and cooperative attitude. Clean and neat in personal appearance.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalency. Customer service experience required. Medical office experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Standing 10% of the time; walking 10% of the time; sitting 35% of the time; lifting and carrying 10% of the time and able to carry up to 25 pounds. Pushing/pulling 5% of the time; bending, stooping, twisting 15% of the time; reaching and handling 15% of the time. Climbing stairs 1% of the time (Elevator available). Must be able to verbally interact with staff, clients and public.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
