Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals and families navigate their challenges. This role involves providing therapeutic support, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans for clients with diverse needs, including children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and management services to clients in need of immediate support.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client participation in their treatment journey.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on topics such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavioral therapy.
- Support clients experiencing PTSD, chronic pain, or other mental health challenges through evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information.
Experience
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or related fields is essential.
- Background in crisis intervention and management within inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of telehealth practices and experience with medical terminology and documentation is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or geriatric populations is an asset.
- Previous involvement in clinical research or data collection related to behavioral health will be advantageous. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A commitment to ongoing professional development is encouraged.
