  • Hours: 40.00 per week


Position Summary

To provide direct services as a part of a multidisciplinary team the master’s prepared clinician will provide direct care including individual (particularly children/adolescents), couple, family and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans, crisis intervention and discharge planning.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct Patient Contact:

  • Provide individual and family therapy to children and their families

  • Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services

  • Maintains daily/weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systems

  • Provide therapeutic services to patients and their families

  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners

  • Completes required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner

  • Participate in our high risk program

  • Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients including LGBTQ+ community

  • Maintain case load dependent on need

  • Participates in clinical supervision with LCSW

  • Provides on-call support on a annual rotational basis if required by program

  • Provide crisis management, support and triage


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy

  • Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut (LMSW, PC-A, MFT-A)

  • Valid driver's license a must for in home services

  • Comfort with using DSM 5 and understanding diagnoses

  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized

  • Must be able to work as a part of a team


Preferred Qualifications

  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred

  • Previous experience providing clinical care is desirable

  • Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders

  • Experience/knowledge in working with LGBTQ+

  • Previous home visiting experience
