Seeking an Experienced “BHS Inpatient Social Worker” for the Jackson Michigan area.

Contract Assignment, with an end date in 2026.

Position: BHS Inpatient Social Worker

Shift: 8am – 4:30pm rotating schedule / weekends required

Requirements:

• 2-3 Years of Social Work Experience Required
• Master's from accredited school of social work
• current LMSW certification
• Previous recent inpatient behavioral health experience,
• Experience charting in EMR/EMH system
• Preferred: EPIC charting experience

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of social work with a master’s degree

Certifications & Licensure:

• Current Licensed Master Social Work

Job Summary:

• The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
• Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals.
• Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients.
• Services include but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group.
• Therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
• Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable.
• Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work.
