Our partnership with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and University of Virginia’s Partners for Leaders in Education (UVA-PLE) has created a unique opportunity for rapid district turnaround. Part of our continued growth and improvement involves increasing educational expectations, developing a culture of support, and nurturing all students to address academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs.


Eastpointe Secondary Campus is a unique venue, supporting approximately 800 students in grades 8-12. Our campus consists of three schools on one campus (an 8th Grade Academy, a traditional high school setting for grades 9-12,and a Virtual Academy/Alternative Center). Through our diverse educational programing,our students have a variety of opportunities that will prepare them for Career, College, and/or Technical readiness. We are partnered with Wayne State University for ongoing and limitless opportunities for our students, through the WSU C2 Pipeline program; we offer dual-enrollment and early college through Macomb Community College, College Board Advanced Placement,honors coursework, medical careers, law enforcement, culinary, and business courses as well as traditional courses. We boast a stellar instructional staff as well as a supportive staff including two Counselors, one assistant principal, instructional coaches, and mentors. Look at our Secondary Schools for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Academic and Athletic Coaching opportunities, as well as Curriculum Department Teams.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with Valid Michigan teaching certificate with school counseling endorsement (NT), or
  • Valid School Counselor License

Salary Data: per EFE Contract. Tentative agreement on a new salary schedule has been agreed to with the teacher association for 2025-26. 15 step schedule. Bachelor’s lane: $49,350 - $80,483. Master’s lane: $53,500 - $85,200, plus $3000 additional on each step for MA+30 or beyond. Counselor's also receive an additional $3,000 stipend.
