Responsibilities


Fulfills all requirements of Section of Social Work Social Worker-Clinical job description. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to social work and Care Management assistant staff. Is responsible for supervisory decisions of staff in their daily tasks. Fulfills the dual role of supervisor and social worker which creates responsibilities not only to the social work section, but also to a clinical workload and medical specialty of the supervisee's clinical area. In addition, will perform the following: provides direction and guidance to the work unit personnel; provides analysis of the work process to improve outcomes and services; oversees the orientation, and performance management of supervisees; participates in section/practice group planning; and attends appropriate meetings to gain and share necessary information with other areas. Completes other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Requires master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work with at least three years social work experience in a medical setting. The Supervisor adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics and NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Healthcare Settings. Social worker with current state licensure at the LICSW level (Minnesota).
