Job Title: Part-Time Virtual Individual Substance Abuse Counselor – Flexible Schedule

Location: Remote (Missouri-based applicants only)

Schedule:

• Flexible Hours – Approximately 15–18 hours/week
• Individual Therapy Sessions are scheduled with patient needs in mind

Position Summary:
DeNovo Recovery is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Clinician to provide virtual, one-on-one substance abuse counseling for individuals in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance use disorder treatment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through telehealth.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual therapy sessions (approximately 1 hour each) via telehealth.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 8 IOP patients, each in the program for 6–8 weeks.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans in accordance with CARF and state standards.
• Facilitate discharge planning to support continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation.
• Provide patient support, monitor progress, and adjust treatment approaches as needed during weekly individuals.

Requirements:

• Must be a Certified Clinician in the state of Missouri (CADC, MAADC I/II, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing counseling to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and recovery models.
• Proficient in telehealth platforms and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting.
