This full-time Social Worker position supports students from PreK through 8th grade within an early childhood school setting. Serving two locations, the role focuses on addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students to promote a healthy and productive learning environment. The contract spans the current school year, providing continuity and impactful engagement with the student community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of students from PreK to 8th grade, delivering individual and group interventions.
- Conduct assessments to identify social and emotional challenges affecting student performance.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Provide crisis support and connect students and families with community resources.
- Document cases and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Social Work; internship hours accepted for candidates in progress.
- Experience working with children in early childhood and elementary settings.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to student well-being and development in a school environment.
Location: Chicago Heights, Illinois two school sites within close proximity.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time commitment during the contracted school year.
