A K-12 school in Monroe, MI is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role requires expertise in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Utilize data to guide interventions and monitor student progress
- Offer consultation and training to staff on behavioral and mental health strategies
- Maintain accurate records and comply with relevant laws and district policies
Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations in an educational setting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and school personnel
