Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed social worker is needed for a full-time position working with students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade in a middle school setting in Detroit, MI. This contract role is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support student well-being
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and confidentiality standards

Qualifications:

• Licensed Social Worker status (Preliminary LLMSW with 310 certification or LCSW)
• Experience working in school settings is preferred
• Ability to manage caseload independently as no supervision is provided
• Strong communication and organizational skills
