Staff Nurse - RN – Outpatient Psychiatry – Part-Time

As a Staff Nurse in Outpatient Psychiatry, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for administering psychotropic medications by injection, blood drawing, health monitoring and patient education, and much more. This position will move towards an integrated health model with the opportunity to participate in individual and group sessions. Utilize your skills by working with child, adolescent, and the adult patient population.

This is part-time position (M_F) at NYP Westchester Behavioral Health.

Preferred Criteria

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in inpatient Med-Surg nursing

  • Experience with care coordination of physical health needs

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Current New York State RN license BCLS certification

  • Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science

  • Knowledge of current health care environment

  • Knowledge of customer service principles, and effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge of use of computer applications

  • Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care

  • Complete Nurse Residency Program if new Graduate
