Notre Dame is seeking full time 7-12 Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. To ensure success, this position should be accessible and authentic with excellent communication skills and a profound interest in helping students to plan for their post-secondary options (higher education, vocational, work force or military). Top candidates will display natural leadership qualities with remarkable problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Bachelor's degree in counseling or related (essential). Master's Degree preferred. Familiarity with data base technology and student information systems is encouraged.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to advise and assist students with social emotional, interpersonal, academic and vocational development.
- Evaluating students’ attributes and assisting them in realizing their objectives.
- Assisting in improving equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students.
- Assessing the development of students and highlighting their sense of accomplishment.
- Facilitating classroom lessons on study skill strategies, academic achievement strategies and restorative practices.
- Completing evaluations, analyzing results, and providing purposeful feedback.
- Monitoring student attendance, grades, behavior plans, responses to interventions, etc.
- Cooperating with parents, academic staff, and external partners.
- Arranging and scheduling orientation programs and internships.
- Facilities 504 plans as the case manager.
- Implementing and facilitating educational and training workshops for academic staff.
