We are seeking applications to fill positions for both Day (Swing Shift 10:30 Am- 7:00 Pm) and Evening positions within the Department's Mobile/ACCORD Units. This position would involve helping individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health needs receive linkage to critical care and diversion from emergency services when appropriate. . Emphasis on serving and being knowledgeable about diverse communities and populations is appreciated. This is a competitive civil service position that may be filled by the appointment of a person who meets the minimum qualifications established for such positions. Specific hours will be discussed further if an interview is offered. Flexible schedules are being explored/considered as this team becomes fully staffed.

MISSION STATEMENT AND TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY The mission of the Albany County Department of Mental Health (ACDMH) is to ensure that the residents of Albany County living with mental illness and/or emotional disturbance, alcohol and/or substance use problems, or intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, as well as their families, can attain meaningful improvement in the quality of their lives and overall health, renewed connection to their communities, and lasting recovery so that their personal goals can be achieved. ·

  • Must be a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
  • ·Must be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW within (4) years of appointment if in possession of a LMSW at the time of appointment. ·
  • This is a 40 hour a week Civil Service position. Starting Salary $61,020 for a Mental Health Clinician 1 and $72,057 for a Mental Health Clinician 2(Eves)

  • Differential Compensation for Evening shift. Annualized $5,000-$6,000 .
  • Please note there are also some opportunities for individuals who would like to work Hourly Per Diem shifts in Crisis Services.

Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral therapy to individuals in need.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage crisis situations effectively and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize premium skills such as psychotherapy and motivational interviewing to support clients in crisis.

Job Types: Full-time, Per diem

Pay: $61,020.00 - $72,057.00 per year
