Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 1:00pm-9:30pm | Tuesday-Saturday 1:00pm-9:30pm

A Phone Counselor is responsible for providing high quality, prompt and caring employee assistance and crisis services, and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Previous experience working with case management, crisis intervention, and call centers preferred.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Preferred Skills: ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM.
- Answer calls from those seeking assistance from our hospitals and refer to proper resources promptly
- Respond to crisis calls in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Use crisis stabilization techniques and proper procedures in making referral to appropriate facilities.
- Coordinate and correspond with our hospital intake staff when setting appointments.
- Respect confidentiality of caller/clients in every way.
- Demonstrate strong empathic and listening skills, good interpersonal boundaries, assertive communication style, and case management skills.
- Work in collaboration with team to provide quality care for all patients and appropriate support for remote facilities.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Excellent communication skills. Professional, articulate voice. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task in several computer applications while holding a conversation with a customer.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks that need to be completed on a daily basis. Excellent organizational skills and documentation orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Proficient user knowledge of Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn specialized computer applications.
