Position Summary:
The Optical Technician Assembler will perform all machine set-ups. Work with Engineering on issues that occur. Debugs current product when failures occur. Train others on manufacturing builds and support production schedule. This position will also support the functions of the Waveguide (WG) Manufacturing Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support current build schedule.
- Assist in machine/robot set-up.
- Debug production fails.
- Assist with software issues when they arise on products.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with prototype fixture builds.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned related to core job function.
- Meet required ISO 9001:2015 standards and necessary training based on the relevant Quality Objectives.

Minimal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-year experience in an Assembler/Technician related role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings etc.
- Able to use small tools (e.g., clamps, calipers).
- Understanding of quality control principles.
- Great attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or other 2-year degree in Electronics Technician or related field.
- Experience with optical and/or electronic devices.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Travel: Negligible.
Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, speak, hear, see, and perform repetitive motion (data entry). Occasionally required to lift or carry (10 lb. minimum). Reasonable accommodations will be made available if applicable.
