Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. They provide counseling sessions for families, individuals and groups. Therapists are responsible for interviewing and developing the psychosocial history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives and treatment summaries. Therapists act as the residents’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. QualificationsMaster’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related human services field.One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adolescents and/or adults. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy and relaxation therapy.Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.Current license from the State of Alabama preferred, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT but not required.Must have a successful drug screen and background check(includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
