A Michigan Licensed Social Worker is needed to support K-12 students within a school district located in Greenville, Michigan. This full school year contract position offers the opportunity to provide critical social work services across multiple grade levels in a dynamic educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social work services to K-12 students addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide ongoing counseling and crisis support
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to advocate for student well-being
  • Maintain documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Michigan Social Work License (SSW certification) required
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries
  • Comfortable working independently without on-site supervision from para-professionals or clinical staff

Contract Details:

  • Location: Greenville, Michigan
  • Contract Duration: Full School Year (185 days)
  • Schedule: Approximately 7.25 hours per day, up to 8 hours as needed
  • Start Date: Mid-August (coinciding with teacher and student return dates)
  • Position involves coverage for multiple schools within the district
