About Job

Southwest Health and Human Services currently has an opening for an EFC/STAY (Extended Foster Care/Successful Transition to Adulthood for Youth) Social Worker. This position can be located in any of our offices. (Marshall, Ivanhoe, Pipestone, Luverne, Slayton or Redwood Falls).

Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS) is a multi-county agency committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities by providing quality services in a respectful, caring and cost-effective manner.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide services to older adolescents eligible for STAY (Successful Transition to Adulthood for Youth) and/or extended foster care to help youth, who have had out of home placement case management, to develop skills necessary to successfully manage their transition to adulthood.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field.

or

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.

Starting Rate of Pay: $26.10 - $43.31/hour
