Job Description
The Administrative Assistant II will serve as the chief Administrative Assistant for the BHCC Student Counseling, Prevention and Wellness Center. This includes overseeing all administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, processing budget requests, greeting visitors, and other clerical tasks for the center.

Salary range: $ 2,312.28bi-weekly/ $60,119.28/annual Grade 17/1, AFSCME Full-Time Benefited position

Job Description
The Administrative Assistant II will serve as the chief Administrative Assistant for the BHCC Student Counseling, Prevention and Wellness Center. This includes overseeing all administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, processing budget requests, greeting visitors, and other clerical tasks for the center.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the BHCC Student Counseling, Prevention and Wellness Center.
- Serve as the professional staff point of contact for the reception for the center, oversee scheduling of appointments for walk in requests for students wanting to meet with a Personal Counselor, greet and check in students for scheduled appointments, and maintain the reception area to provide welcoming and orderly environment for visitors.
- Provide support to Director with budget management and processing budget requests.
- Utilize a variety of technological software (i.e. Microsoft applications, BHCC systems, productivity technology tools and etc.) for general center and service operations.
- Performs related administrative duties, assignments, or special projects as required.
- Assists the Director with maintaining accurate records, data collection, and reporting needs for the center.
- Maintain knowledge of and protect student's rights as guaranteed by FERPA.
- Encourage environment that supports student privacy while accessing counseling services.
- Develop active, positive, professional relationships with students and student groups.
- Support, attend and participate in campus-wide student affairs programs to facilitate positive outreach and support to students.
- Be an active member of the Student Affairs team.
- Perform other related duties as required/assigned to support services for the Counseling Center.
- Administrative assistant/office management experience for a minimum of 3 years.
- Experience working in a higher education setting or counseling center.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Associate Degree or higher level of post secondary education.
