Front Desk Intake Coordinator (PRN / As-Needed / Per Diem)

Architech Sports & Physical Therapy is looking for a dependable and flexible Front Desk Intake Coordinator (PRN / As-Needed / Per Diem) to provide front desk coverage across our clinics in the Greater Charlotte area, with a concentration in North Mecklenburg and Cabarrus County.
In this role, you'll support a variety of clinic teams and be the welcoming face for patients as they begin their care journey. It’s a great fit for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, values great customer service, and is comfortable jumping in when and where they’re needed most.

Schedule & Availability:
This is a part-time, PRN (as-needed/per diem) position. Hours are variable and based on clinic coverage needs.
There is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours
Coverage may be requested with little or no advance notice
Extended coverage may be requested for planned PTO or employee leaves
Typical shift is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Flexibility and reliability are essential
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering a welcoming and professional experience
Answer phones, manage scheduling, and maintain patient flow
Accurately verify insurance and process co-pays or patient balances
Ensure completion and accuracy of intake paperwork and documentation
Support clinicians with basic administrative and front office tasks
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk
Provide coverage for planned time off and unexpected absences, sometimes on short notice
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role (healthcare or physical therapy setting preferred)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a busy environment
Dependable, punctual, and responsive to last-minute scheduling needs
Willingness to travel to multiple locations within the Greater Charlotte area
