Summary

Incumbents support the daily operations of the Victim Services Program. Responsibilities include providing notification services, support, and advocacy to victims of crime and witnesses in the City of Surprise. Incumbents coordinate and work with the Criminal Division/City Prosecutor's Office administrative staff, City Court personnel, law enforcement, outside agencies, and victims of crime.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree and three years of victim assistance, law enforcement, crisis intervention, or related employment experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.

SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
