A public high school in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time, school-year contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, school staff, and families to support the academic and emotional well-being of high school students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement support plans
  • Provide counseling and interventions tailored to individual student challenges
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education program development
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid CA PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Psychology
  • Experience working within a high school setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse student populations
  • Capacity to work independently and manage a full caseload

Position Details:

  • Location: Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento area)
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, school year contract
  • Caseload: One school assignment with a focus on high school students
  • Onboarding: Contract signed prior to start; fingerprinting and background check required
  • Interview Format: Zoom panel interview; scheduling flexibility offered
