About Job

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health services to a diverse population, focusing on outpatient care. You will work with individuals, including children and adolescents, addressing various mental health issues and promoting overall well-being. Your expertise in crisis management and patient assessment will be essential in delivering effective therapeutic interventions.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling services for outpatient clients, including those with pediatric needs and gender issues.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and dance therapy to enhance client engagement.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support for clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Offer direct support to clients, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

  • A valid license as a Professional Counselor in the relevant state.
  • Experience in outpatient counseling, particularly with pediatric populations, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in crisis management techniques and patient assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses.
  • Skills in motivational interviewing and innovative therapeutic approaches such as dance therapy are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in counseling practice.
