**Outpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity in West Central MN** Located in Fergus Falls, MN. Full Time & Permanent Position. J1 & H1B Eligible. Seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing team of psychiatric providers at our multi-specialty group practice in Fergus Falls, MN. **Key Responsibilities** -Inform patients and their families about available mental health treatments, both within the organization and through local community support services. -Deliver effective outpatient psychiatric care to the adult patient population, ages 18+. -Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and oversee the prescription and management of medications for mental health disorders. -Serve as an inpatient psychiatric consultant as requested during business hours. -No after hours or weekend on-call required. -Full-time position in Fergus Falls, MN during clinic hours, Monday – Friday with options to incorporate virtual visits into schedule and for a condensed work week. **Qualifications:** -Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited psychiatry residency required. -Board certification in psychiatry highly preferred; board eligibility required. -Active Minnesota Medical License & DEA upon hire -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. **Compensation & Benefits** Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. -Base compensation salary is guaranteed starting at $302,000.00/year for the first 2 years of employment, plus the opportunity to earn additional income based on production hours worked (wRVU’s). -$2,000 annual CME reimbursement & paid professional dues and memberships. -Relocation reimbursement & sign on bonus (with assistance in residency if applicable). -10% annual employer contributions into 401K plan; fully vested to the employee at the time the employee is eligible to participate in the plan after 6 months of employment, or 1,000 hours worked whichever occurs first. -Opportunity to apply for state and national student loan forgiveness programs that have potential to award up to $120,000.00. -Cash balance plan. -Health, dental, vision, long term and short-term disability insurance; professional liability insurance offered. -6 weeks of time off per calendar year. **About the community** Fergus Falls is an area known for excellent private and public school systems community college, local wineries & breweries, low cost of living, nearby zoo’s, big box retail (Home Depot, Applebee’s, Caribou Coffee, Walmart, and more), movie theater, bowling alley, event center, nearby resorts & casino’s, health spas, YMCA, fishing, cross country skiing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, & biking. -8-golf courses within a 30-mile radius of city. -Number 1 county in the United States with most lakes, with 1,100 lakes in Ottertail County. -Central lakes biking/walking trail begins in Fergus Falls and is a 55 mile, paved trail that goes to central MN. -North Country Scenic Trail runs through the town (beginning in Vermont & runs through central ND). -Within city limits, there are 5 lakes & 19 park & recreational areas. -Easy access to Fargo, ND (1 hour drive); and Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (2 ½ hour drive) both with international airport access. -Children’s museum & indoor playground; newly constructed children’s splash pad built in 2024, and new community aquatics center opened in June of 2025. -Enjoy a safe, low crime community of 14,000 residents.
