Reports To: Direct Licensed Supervisor (LICSW or LMHC)
Minimum Qualifications:
1) All counselors and unlicensed staff included in the center must be under the direct and continuous supervision of a fully qualified professional staff member trained in one of the core disciplines described required.
2) All counselors must hold a master's degree in counseling education, counseling psychology, clinical social work, or rehabilitation counseling from an accredited educational institution and must have had two years of full-time supervised clinical experience in a multidisciplinary mental-health setting subsequent to obtaining the master's degree. (One year of supervised clinical work in an organized graduate internship program may be substituted for each year of full-time experience.
3) Any counselor who provides individual, group, or family therapy to members under the age of 21 must be certified every two years to administer the CANS, according to the process established by EOHHS
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts diagnostic evaluations, including developing treatment plan and goals in collaboration with the consumer.
- Completes and submits all required clinical documentation within company deadlines.
- Collaborates with treatment team and other providers to establish treatment plan and disposition.
- Provides direct therapeutic interventions, and documents all sessions utilizing clinical language on Progress Notes.
- Maintains regular communication with treatment team and collateral providers/case managers as necessary, and documents those communications. This may include attending planning or case management meetings regarding consumers.
- Involves families in evaluation, treatment planning and on-going treatment to the degree agreed upon with consumer.
- Provides crisis management for clients on caseload and other outpatient center clients as necessary.
- Is aware of and communicates to families their protections relative to consumer/human rights.
- Respects and protects the Human Rights of consumers in the program.
- Maintains confidentiality of clinical records and privileged consumer information in conformity with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Communicates with consumers, colleagues and collateral staff in a respectful manner
- Attends scheduled staff trainings and individual supervision meetings according to the Supervision Contract with their clinical supervisor.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
