About Job

Who we are: The Integrated Center for Group Medical Visits (ICGMV) is a non-profit dedicated to reducing health disparities in underserved communities by using the power of group medical visits (GMVs). GMVs offer more time with patients to help their mental health and is a mechanism to provide more services to overcome health barriers. This leads to better health outcomes. ICGMV has partnered with Kronos Health, a private medical practice using innovative reimbursement practices which incentivizes keeping our patients healthy. This practice allows us to provide non-reimbursed health services such as exercise, education, mental health, telemedicine groups, and effective alternative medicine therapies such as acupuncture, massage, and nutrition counselling, and empowerment groups for adults and children.

Role overview: We are seeking a passionate licensed mental health counselor to deliver high-quality individual and group mental health care within our general mental health program. If you're committed to evidence-based practices and excited to deliver culturally responsive care to adults or children, we'd love to hear from you. If you have not worked with group counselling before that is not a problem as we can train you in these skills!

Education:

  • Master's (Required)

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Spanish is required.
  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health or related discipline required.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Clinical experience of 1 year required.

License/Certification:

  • Professional license in MA (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, PsyD, PHD, LMFT (Required)

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE Independent Massachusetts or state licensure (LICSW/ LCSW, LMHC, LMFT,)
  • Requires excellent time-management skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions for clients with mental health issues
  • Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services
  • Strong organizational and self-directed management skills
  • Dedication to providing ethical and skilled services focused on maximizing the capacity of our patients
  • Commitment to the continued growth of the practice and support of our mission.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a diverse clientele with varying ages, races, ethnicities, professions, education and economic background.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, administrators, collateral contacts and with the team staff. Co-development and implementation of patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Providing ongoing counseling services as clinically indicated.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients achieve positive outcomes
  • Experience working with higher-risk populations and/or adolescents preferred

Extra skills to have:

  • Provide case management services to assist clients in accessing necessary resources and support Child and family counseling .Experience working with children and families to address mental health concerns and promote healthy development
  • Crisis intervention: Ability to effectively respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support and intervention
  • Case management: Skill in coordinating services, advocating for clients, and connecting them with appropriate resources
  • Addiction counseling: Experience in providing counseling services for individuals struggling with substance abuse or addiction
  • Clinical research: Knowledge of research methodologies and ability to contribute to ongoing clinical research projects
  • Group therapy: Proficient in facilitating group therapy sessions to address common themes or issues among clients, (we can train you if you have no experience in this!)
