Position Overview
We’re hiring a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to provide clinical assessments, therapy, and treatment planning for clients in behavioral health settings. This role includes supervising direct care staff, coordinating care, ensuring compliance, and delivering services both in-person and via telehealth using evidence-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and intake interviews to guide diagnosis and treatment
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and EMDR (if trained)
- Develop and revise Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) that align with client treatment goals
- Maintain timely and accurate records in the electronic health system, including documentation of treatment plans and session progress
- Monitor client outcomes and adapt therapeutic approaches as needed for sustained progress
- Apply crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies as appropriate in non-medical situations
- Work closely with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to support integrated care delivery
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and collaborative treatment planning
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Fully licensed in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent LMHP designation.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of direct clinical experience with individuals or families experiencing mental health challenges.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in outpatient or community-based settings.
- Preferred (but not required):
- Trained in EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, or similar.
- Prior experience with Medicaid documentation and authorizations.
