CORA’s Community Services Division is currently seeking an Licensed Behavior Specialist or Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Early Years Program at our Huntington Mills location.

An Early Childhood - Applied Behavioral Analysis Behavior Consultant and/or Behavior Analyst (EC-ABA-BC/BA) will have the opportunity to lead the clinical team to impact the lives of young children and families by implementing ABA services in a preschool program room. The EC-ABA BC/BA provides individual and group services to children with neurodevelopmental disorders. These services are primarily delivered in a preschool setting, and secondarily in their home and community settings (as needed). The EC-ABA-BC/BA supervises the implementation of behavioral treatment plans by EC-ABA BHTs and evaluates their performance through close observation and data review. The EC-ABA-BC/BA provides parent training, ongoing consultation, and consultation with other stakeholders in the treatment design and implementation phases. The EC-ABA-BC/BA helps plan for the client to maintain and generalize skills upon discharge.

This is a full-time, On-site position

Starting Salary

$69,521 w/LBS (and required 2 years experience)

$74,440 w/BCBA (and required 2 years experience)

(Salary Commensurate With Additional Experience And Credentialing.)

In addition, as a Licensed Behavior Specialist or Behavior Analyst your duties will include:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Foster a warm, nurturing, and engaging therapeutic relationship with preschool children.
  • Lead the ABA intervention per daily scheduling of 7 to 9 children, ages 3-5.
  • Complete specialized assessments of multiple deficit areas, including adaptive skills, functional communication, and social skills.
  • Develop meaningful and detailed treatment plans, and intervention programming to address the needs of young children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including functional behavior assessments.
  • Develop reinforcement systems and provide behavior skills training to clients, stakeholders, and supervisees based on detailed FBAs and FAs.
  • Review program data, creating visual representations to ensure client outcomes are communicated to stakeholders and funders.
  • Utilize ABA strategies to monitor and ensure behavioral intervention plans have been implemented with fidelity.
  • Model a substantial repertoire of reinforcement techniques for staff and families.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and parents while overseeing the implementation of programs with clients.
  • Conduct group parent training on specific treatment goals and strategies that are meaningful to families.
  • Document service delivery consistently and meet all funders and state-mandated pertinent deadlines.
  • Coordinate a group model of service delivery with developmentally appropriate preschool activities with all differentiation based on individual treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with other early childhood intervention providers to improve outcomes for the young child.
  • Supervise ABA service delivery and the professional development of paraprofessionals and RBTs staff as part of the clinical supervisory team.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, training programs, and supervision as required by CORA, funders and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Educational Requirements

PA master’s level clinical license (LBS) with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and additional required supervised hours and specialized training.

Additional Requirements

  • Two years of full-time professional experience working with young children with Autism or other developmental disabilities, developing Functional Behavioral Assessments and behavior plans, and providing training on behavioral interventions is required.
  • Ideally, an employee should have a BACB certification as a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) or be interested in seeking BCBA certification

Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Evidence of commitment to early childhood instructional practices in ABA.
  • Expertise in early childhood development.
  • Expertise in using multiple technologies to track interventions, data collection, and analysis.
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Evidence of self-direction skills to manage caseloads documentation, oversee ABA implementation, and collaborate effectively with families and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with Behavior Reduction, Skill Acquisition and Parent Training models of intervention grounded in ABA science.
