Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to clients, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions. This role is essential in supporting individuals facing diverse challenges, including trauma, addiction, and chronic pain. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote healing and personal growth.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on various issues such as PTSD, addiction, chronic pain, and gender-related concerns.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities including art therapy, crisis management techniques, and applied behavior analysis to facilitate client progress.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within a hospital or clinical setting to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Educate clients on coping strategies and behavior management techniques to enhance their overall well-being.

Requirements

  • A valid license as a Professional Counselor in the state of practice.
  • Experience or training in areas such as PTSD care, addiction counseling, chronic pain counseling, and gender issues counseling is preferred.
  • Strong skills in crisis management and behavior management.
  • Proficient in maintaining medical records with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care.
