Position Title: BCBA

Location: Hagerstown, MD, and surrounding areas

Overview: Adaptive Teaching & Learning Autism Services is dedicated to empowering children diagnosed with autism to achieve their full potential. We are seeking qualified professionals who are passionate about providing adaptive services to children with autism. Our goal as a company is to meet each learner where they are using a comprehensive child centered approach to our service delivery. We focus on providing alternative ways to meet the needs of each individual through creative programming and activities. We are seeking an innovative BCBA to become part of our team and help continue to develop our vision.

Summary of Position: This BCBA position will be center-based at our Hagerstown location. A full-time BCBA with ATLAS can expect to work an average of 35 hours a week at this location, with only two additional afternoon sessions per month required. Our daytime program for children aged 2 to 5 years old runs from 9am-3pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Supervise behavioral therapy services provided by Registered Behavior Technicians, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Conduct parent/caregiver training and progress review meetings.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Work Environment:

  • Anticipated schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm, two afternoon sessions monthly from 4:00-5:00pm within the center environment.
  • Majority of sessions will take place within a center environment, aside from Parent Training as deemed necessary.
  • Some sessions may occur in clients' homes, schools, or community settings as needed.
  • Services aim to target communication, social skills, generalization of skills, and the development of appropriate behaviors across all environments.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
  • Licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Maryland.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, preferably in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy methodologies and strategies.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments using standardized tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping.
