MA / MSW / M-F Day shift /Required 2 evening groups a week.

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington
provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. PIW has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Situated in the safe, historical Tenleytown neighborhood, PIW is one mile from the Tenleytown Metro stop and within walking distance to local cafes and restaurants.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provides individual, family and group psychotherapy for selected outpatient and serves as a liaison/consultant with referring clinicians for patients of all ages. Committed to continued professional development and the acquisition of further knowledge/training as needed. Participates in training and research activities conducted by the program and is active in various facets of program development.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related discipline from an accredited graduate school;
  • Licensure (or license-eligible under supervision) in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline (LICSW, Psychologist, LPC);
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in delivery of direct clinical services in a behavioral health setting, some portion of which must have included treatment of posttraumatic conditions;
  • Experience in individual, group and systems psychotherapy, and clinical case management;
  • Experience in outpatient and partial hospital work
  • Knowledge of hospital systems, including intake/admission procedures, experience working with third party payers preferred, but not required. Experience in outpatient, inpatient and partial hospital work preferred
  • Candidates must meet the company’s hiring criteria to include a pre-employment verifications, background investigation and drug test.
