About Job

John Eaton Afterschool Program (JEAP) was founded in 1983 to support the families of John Eaton Elementary School. We offer before and after school programming for students in grades Pre-K-5.

John Eaton Afterschool Program (JEAP) is committed to providing safe, high-quality child care for children at John Eaton Elementary School. JEAP focuses on helping our students develop socioemotional skills through play, and recreational activities.

We are seeking leaders who have at least 2 years of experience working with school-aged children from Pre-K through 5th grade. We are currently hiring for (4) After School positions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan indoor and outdoor activities
  • Assist students with homework
  • Engage students with various activities throughout the afternoon
  • Collaborate with other Group Leaders to plan and execute activities

Hours:

After School-- 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday- Friday

We offer flexible hours as well as Training. Staff meetings occur when children are out for parent conferences/teacher development days. Starting hourly wage $18.25 for After School hours with an opportunity for a higher wage after 90 day evaluation. All employees receive a bi-weekly travel stipend and are eligible to participate in the employee retirement plan.

If offered employment, candidates must complete DCPS Fingerprinting and background check process within 10 days of hire.
