Exceptional Wellness, Inc. is a community-based mental health organization committed to supporting individuals and families in achieving lasting emotional wellness. We’re currently seeking a Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) to join our growing team and provide compassionate, client-centered care throughout Texas.
This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time hours available. Clinicians have the freedom to create their own schedules in collaboration with their clients. We strongly value work-life balance and foster a supportive, inclusive team culture where your expertise and input truly matter.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments and evaluate client concerns, strengths, and resources.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Provide counseling using evidence-based and culturally sensitive interventions.
- Promote healthy coping strategies, self-reflection, and interpersonal growth.
- Monitor and document treatment progress, symptoms, and client engagement.
- Adjust therapeutic interventions based on ongoing assessments.
- Maintain clinical documentation and prepare appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Engage clients with empathy, warmth, and professionalism throughout the therapeutic process.
- Educate clients on emotional and financial aspects of treatment when needed.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related mental health field.
- Current registration as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of Texas (NO LPC-I).
- Bilingual
- ANSA Certification
- CANS 3-6 Certification
- CANS 6-17 Certification
- Reside in Houston, TX
- Experience in providing direct therapeutic services (supervised experience is acceptable).
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally competent care.
- Community-oriented and responsive to client diversity.
- Ability to work independently and travel for community-based services.
