We are a one-location, center-based ABA provider that is locally and family-owned and operated. Our mission is to help children with autism navigate success on the spectrum through personalized, evidence-based ABA therapy in collaboration with Speech and Occupational Therapy.
Your Role:
As a Behavior Technician, you'll play a crucial role in directly delivering one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism. Under the guidance of our skilled BCBA professionals, you will:
- Implement evidence-based ABA interventions in a nurturing, playful, and collaborative center-based environment.
- Skillfully collect and record data and documentation, ensuring accurate and real-time tracking of each child's progress as well as support the creation and refinement of personalized treatment plans.
- Create a positive and engaging atmosphere through proactive collaboration with parents, keeping them informed about session progress and insights.
- Contribute to team discussions and assist in planning purposeful activities for our center.
- Execute behavior intervention plans meticulously to facilitate the reduction of challenging behaviors and the development of functional replacement behaviors.
Physical Requirements and Energetic Engagement:
To excel in this dynamic role as a Behavior Technician, you should possess a strong physical capacity and boundless energy to actively engage with the children in our care. You will be required to:
- Exhibit the ability to move swiftly, including running and participating in floor-based activities, ensuring an interactive and stimulating experience for the children.
- Regularly transition between sitting and standing positions to accommodate the diverse needs and activities during sessions.
- Engage energetically with the children on the floor, fostering meaningful connections and facilitating their developmental progress.
- Capably lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 25 pounds, ensuring the safety and comfort of both the children and yourself.
What You Bring:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A college degree.
- Proficiency in effectively navigating iPads, including seamless maneuvering through various apps, programs, and resources that significantly enhance children's learning and developmental experiences.
- A genuine passion for working with children on the autism spectrum and a deep appreciation for their families' unique journeys.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or a commitment to obtain it within 90 days of joining our team.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with both your colleagues and the families we serve.
- A collaborative mindset, fostering a seamless integration within our team-driven environment.
- Full time availability Monday-Friday.
