SOCIAL SERVICES CASE MANAGER
Helpline House is a social service agency located on Bainbridge Island. We are a community funded nonprofit agency providing a full range of cost-free services to those in need. Needs are defined broadly and are not always financial. Any community member in crisis or in need of social services consultation, volunteer opportunities, or other related services is welcome at Helpline House.
Purpose: This position coordinates and provides services and referrals in a safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered manner.
Reports to: Social Services Supervisor
Essential Functions
· Provide case management services, which may include but are not limited to, ongoing assessment, goal setting, resource location, advocacy, inter and intra-agency collaboration, intervention, financial assistance, and budgeting
· Engage with all clients, including those who experience disability, chronic disease, homelessness, and who may exhibit untraditional and escalating behaviors
· Respond to client needs in a milieu situation including situations outside of client meetings
· Assist in applying for local and federal programs such as Medicare, SNAP, Apple Health
· Engage in maintaining and building relationships with referral providers
· Use equitable judgment to allocate financial assistance in varied situations
· Record and maintain client records according to agency format
· Code and record client contacts monthly
· Maintain accurate record of client support fund disbursement
· Update resources for Social Services team
· Provide short-term front desk coverage
· Maintain a highly functional and organized work environment
· Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
· Be a positive voice for Helpline both within and outside of the organization
· Sensitivity to both individual and community needs with a practical approach to problem solving
· Ability to adjust quickly to varying workload
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· BSW, BA, or BS in human service or related field. Relevant experience may substitute.
· Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and utilizing web-based software
· Effective communication skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, type and reach with hands and arms; and requires the ability to occasionally push, lift and/or carry supplies up to 25 pounds.
· The employee is required to perform physical and repetitive motions
Compensation & Benefits
This is a part-time or full-time hourly position. Helpline House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Hourly Salary Range: $27.50 - $32
Paid Holidays:

Insurance:
Medical Insurance – 75% of the employee premium paid by employer

403B/Roth option: Employees are eligible for the 403b/Roth option contribution plan after 2 years of employment

Pay: From $26.44 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
