Do you enjoying working with students? Join us at The Independent School as a Panther Care After School Counselor. Panther Care is our after school care program. We are looking to fill multiple positions. Panther Care runs from August 14, 2025 to May 14, 2026 each day school is in session, and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals who can supervise, lead staff and engage students in a safe and fun environment through a variety of hands-on activities.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a positive role model by fostering encouraging and supportive interactions with students.
• Actively monitor students to ensure their safety in all areas, including commons and outdoor spaces.
• Assist students with homework as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all students.
• Track and manage student attendance.
• Communicate effectively with the Division Head and Extended Day Lead when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to be courteous, professional, and maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening and background check.
• Passion for working with children and motivation to make a positive impact in their lives.

Required Physical Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to physically bend, sit on the floor, and move quickly to ensure the safety of children.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged students.
