The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Accountable for the provision of expert patient care inclusive of complex patients. Serves as a unit staff mentor and has increased responsibilities that may include staff orientation, patient care coordination, and other unit/service/or nursing practice activities. May assume an expanded unit role as available and assigned by the Nurse Manager. May also identify staff learning and patient safety needs.

FT position available (40 hours), Primarily days, 8 & 12 hour shifts, holidays and weekends per unit policy.
Exciting and challenging opportunity to function in the leadership role on a busy ICU. Recent ICU experience required. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Coordination of a multidisciplinary approach to care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict. Demonstrates effective group leadership and ability to collaboratively work with the NeuroMedicine ICU Service Team to develop and implement care delivery systems specific to Neurology and Neurosurgical patients. Contributes to quality improvement through monitoring of compliance and outcomes.
