Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW)

Position Summary

The Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) provides entry-level professional social work services in a secure inpatient psychiatric setting. The role supports patient care through case management, discharge planning, and coordination of services for individuals with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and gather patient history
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide case management and coordinate services with internal teams and external agencies
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and state requirements
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution
• Active Kansas LBSW license in good standing
• Knowledge of social work principles and case management practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or institutional settings
• Familiarity with forensic or inpatient environments

Work Environment

• Secure state psychiatric hospital setting
• Direct interaction with patients in a controlled environment
• Full-time, on-site position

Pay: $27.51 - $33.13 per hour
