Job Position: School Social Worker (Early Childhood Pre-K)

Location: Near Joliet, IL

Pay Rate: $40.00/hr to $50.00/hr

Description:

Birch Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for the 20252026 school year. This position will serve early childhood students (Pre-K) in a school setting near Joliet, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social-emotional support and interventions for Pre-K students

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs

  • Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed

  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies

  • Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community services

Position Details:

  • Start Date: August 2025

  • Schedule: Full-time, school hours

  • Setting: Early childhood / Pre-K classroom(s)

  • Contract: 20252026 academic year

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement

  • Experience in early childhood education is highly preferred

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
