Job Description:

As an ABA Therapist at Avanza, you will play a crucial role in helping children reach their unique potential through evidence-based therapy techniques. You will work closely with our team to implement personalized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of each child.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct preference assessments to identify individual needs

- Implement behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles

- Collaborate with families and other team members to provide comprehensive support

- Monitor progress and consult with BCBAs to adjust strategies as needed to maximize results

- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors

- Accurately document each ABA session, capturing key details and progress

- Help develop and organize program materials based on individuals' needs and preferences

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred

- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred

- Experience working with children with special needs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Good writing skills

- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference

- Physical Demands: The physical demands outlined here represent what an employee must meet to effectively perform the essential functions of this role. During their duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, speak, and listen to children. They frequently need to stand, walk, climb, or balance, as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be capable of pushing items weighing 50 pounds, such as pushing children on a bike, pulling a wagon, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

- Spanish speaking preferred but not required
