Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Psychiatrist to serve as medical Director and lead our healthcare team for our 21-bed inpatient Mental Health Program in Worcester, MA. The position requires on-site presence twice a week, as well as on-call availability during after-hours and weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, and driving the strategic direction of our medical services. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of healthcare management, clinical development, and the ability to supervise and mentor medical staff effectively.

Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of clinical programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant healthcare standards.
  • Oversee the management of medical records and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Supervise medical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive clinical development initiatives.
  • Manage budgeting processes related to clinical operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform clinical practices and decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in patient care through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) with board certification in psychiatry.
  • Proven experience in healthcare management, with a strong understanding of clinical operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, medical management, and clinical development processes.
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience leading diverse medical teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both clinical staff and administrative teams.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in patient care quality and safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $180,000.00 per year
