  • A proven record of collaborative service delivery and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in pediatric primary care or other pediatric medical setting is preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing, and brief, solution-focused interventions is highly desirable.

Working within our family-centered medical home, the behavioral health clinician will:

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis to patients with behavioral health concerns.
  • Provide consultative support to medical providers and staff.
  • Work with medical providers and staff to provide effective treatment planning, consultation, and appropriate interventions to help patients successfully achieve their health goals.
  • Assist in identifying patients at risk of developing health problems and provide preventive interventions to address the needs of these populations.
  • Assist the primary care team in developing care management workflows, such as the use of guidelines and screening measures, population health management, care coordination, and patient education, to improve self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Help evolve the practices integration efforts, by identifying problems and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide care both virtually and in-person, as schedule allows.
  • Deliver evidence-based behavioral health interventions to pediatric patients and families.
  • Along with the medical providers, work with external providers including psychiatrists, developmental pediatricians and school staff to facilitate achievement of behavioral health goals.
  • Provide assistance to patients in transitioning those requiring longer-term care to an appropriate community mental/behavioral health provider.
  • Actively participate in meetings and professional development that support the practice’s integrated health care model, specifically in discipline specific monthly meetings, CEU opportunities.
  • This role provides significant opportunities to participate in high quality, CE-accredited, clinical education, through our partnership with Boston Children's Hospital, and the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's, at no cost.
